4 stage system
. Your selection of the four stage CITATION over the
three stage CITATION should be considered when the finest finish possible is
desired. Cool Fresh Air to breathe, The extra power of 7.5 psi (4 stage)
instead of 5.5 psi (3 stage) will greatly reduce the particle size in the
material being sprayed. The smaller the particle size equates to the finest
finish.
In addition, because the four stage pump offers this
abundance of power, the painter's attention to paint mixture, reduction of
material and spray gun technique is not nearly as critical as with a three
stage system. This makes the four stage system a logical choice for the
novice as well as the pro who demands high quality.

this! Its design fresh-air breathing device that would be always
available for you to be able to breathe safely and comfortably while
spraying toxic materials. Deadly isocyanates, VOC s and other toxins present
in today's paint demand you use a Fresh Air Respirator. No other system
offers "built in" respirator protection with state of the art HVLP paint
sprayer in the same cabinet. Components designed to last a lifetime of
rigorous use. Easy to use. Just plug in, turn on the switch and go. This
unit includes a mask, two 40' hoses, the ”Accuspray” spray gun with a one
quart cup and whip hose and hose belt attachment (tie the two hoses
together). If you place ½ mask under a sand blast hood, welding helmet or
paint hood you will stay cool and not fog up lenses.
No compressor is needed to operate the system, which eliminates
the oil and moisture problem so prevalent with other kinds of sprayers.
Another advantage is that the system is totally portable, lightweight and
uses standard household electricity. A natural by-product of any turbine
system is the addition of heat to the airline. The advantage of the heat is
that it eliminates moisture from the air that is mixed with the paint,
however, the disadvantage of this heat is that it has a tendency to also
flash away some of the thinner that is added to the paint when it is mixed.
This loss of thinner can render the paint droplets too dry when they are
applied causing an 'orange peel' effect. The solution is to add more thinner
to the paint when it is mixed to compensate for its
loss. The
turbine raises the temp of the air 20 degrees above the air, which must be
taken into consideration in high room temperature (the motor should be run
for a few minutes to let the air temperature adjust to a steady degree).
Another way to help to control the
heat is to add a short piece of natural rubber 'stub hose' at the pump
outlet. We call it an 'HD' or heat dissipation hose and is included in every
AXIS spray system.
The way to get a great finish when spraying is to have a system
that will break up the paint droplets as small as possible when it is
atomized, the smaller the droplets, the better the finish. Because
this atomization (mixing the paint with the air) takes place after the
nozzle of the spray gun just as it exits, it stands to reason that the
smaller the nozzle hole is, the smaller the droplets are broken
down. The big advantage to HVLP is that it saves you at least 50% of your
paint with 90% of the paint going to the surface and STAYING thus
eliminating the over spray and allowing you to actually see what you are
painting.
