Suggestions for a complete good quality automotive paint job. Getting a high-grade paint job starts with a good base. Be sure your surface is good and clean free of all grease and grime using "Bill Hirsch" metal prep
You only have one set of lungs so using a "Hobbyair", Prime your metal with a quality primer using
a "AXIS" or "Citation” HVLP paint sprayer. Then to get a near perfect base use "3m" DRY GUIDE COAT. This identifies any pinholes or other imperfections in primed surface and shows you where sanding is necessary. Using the"3M" Hook it 11 dry sanding method instead of the messy wet sanding you get a quality finish in 1/2 the time and none of the mess. Now you’re ready to paint using high quality paint along with the "Citation" or "AXIS" Paint sprayer with the "Hobbyair” or "pro-air" fresh air respirator. (Now its critical to use the fresh air respirator so as not to breath any Isocyanates that all two part paints have} using light coats I find is the best way to achieve a high quality and problem free finish. When paint job is finished, again using the "3M"hook-it 11 sanding system. Dry sand with"3M" HOOK-it 11 Now you are ready to take the sand paper scratches out using "3M"s perfect-it Remove rubbing compound and wax dust with "3m" perfect-it 111detail
